Gestalt Psychotherapy Practice

A space to explore what otherwise feels unsayable

Welcome. I am a Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, offering weekly in-person (Poole, UK) and online therapy sessions to individuals who want to gain new tools in dealing with life challenges by deepening their understanding about themselves and their lives — not just talking about their problems, but together investigating, in real time, how those problems show up in their thoughts, body, and relationships.

I trained at distinguished Metanoia Institute in London and I have worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and identity difficulties, grief, bereavement and life transitions, among other experiences. You can expect warm and curious presence without judgement, where all parts of you are welcome.

About sessions

Fees

From £70 per 50-minute session.

Is there a free initial session?

Yes, I offer a complimentary 20-minute online consultation to see if working together feels right.

First session

During our first session, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss your goals and begin building a shared understanding of your experiences. Where appropriate, you will also be introduced to practical self-regulation tools, to help you better understand your nervous system. We will discuss our therapeutic agreement, and if we decide that another practitioner would better meet your needs, I will support you in finding a counsellor/therapist who is best suited to help you. Sessions take place via Zoom or Teams.

Qualifications and Registrations

~ Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Metanoia Institute, London ~ MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy (in advanced training), Metanoia Institute - accredited by UKCP ~ Registered with UK Association for Gestalt Practice (UKAGP), International Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (IAAGT) ~ Member of UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), no. 2011192145 and New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy (NYIGT) ~

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number of sessions, as every person's journey is unique. While some clients seek support for a specific issue over a shorter period, lasting change often takes time. If, after our initial session, we decide to work together, I recommend an initial commitment of six weekly sessions before reviewing our work together and discussing the next steps.

Confidentiality

Everything you share in our sessions is confidential and is handled in accordance with the UKCP Code of Ethics. The only exceptions are if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, if I am legally required to disclose information, or if I discuss my work in confidential professional supervision (your anonymity maintained). Wherever possible, I will always discuss this with you first.

About Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt: understanding through connection

Gestalt therapy is experiential, relational approach that helps you develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, body sensations and patterns that shape your life and relationships. Intuitively grounded in contemporary neuroscience and trauma-informed understanding of the nervous system, this approach recognises that lasting change emerges not simply through insight, but through embodied awareness and new lived experiences. By paying attention to what is happening in the present moment, we can gently explore how past experiences are held in your body-mind, expanding your awareness and supporting new possibilities for responding to life's challenges with greater flexibility and self-compassion.
